Friday Specials are a key component of the Enrichment Program, with parent-led activities involving multi-age groups. Three to five week sessions are planned throughout the school year, and several activity options are available at each session. Some examples of past Friday Specials include: building and racing CO2 cars, performing plays, experiencing the music and culture of The Beatles, cartooning, healthy cooking, "Read to Feed", and running club.

A week of spoiling our wonderful teachers at Sandburg & DCS! Each day of the week will have a different focus and has included things like providing lunch, providing breakfast, bring flowers, bring homemade cards and thank-you notes.

An annual weekend event for DCS Community members and siblings usually held in May or June at Camp Indianola. Structured and non-structured activities usually include crafts, campfire sing-a-long, open space for outdoor play, and skits. Space is limited so sign up early!
